Febuary 21, 2005 - day 72 Quality time on the couch! It's funny how fast you learn to notice those little things with hamsters. About 20 minutes ago, Lucy begged me for attention. I opened up her cage and held my hand in front of it; so she could climb out if she wanted to. She seemed to get it strait away and almost rushed in my hand. This is the eighth time she has done this, and it seems like she is getting the hang of it. I think Lucy should decide when she wants to get out of her cage, circumstances permitted ofcourse.


Febuary 17, 2005 - day 68 I've observed that my littl' hamster Lucy dreams in her sleep! Yesterday, I took the picture on the right. Was pretty funny to watch: it looked like Lucy was climbing, the way she moved her paws and legs. It also looked like she was talking in her sleep! When I took a few pictures (all of them blurry except the one on the right), I wanted to make a video of it. So resetting my camera to shoot video's instead of pictures, I was ready... But Lucy had decided it was time to take on another relaxed way of sleeping. Not a position in which I could shoot some video, sadly. But it was really fun to watch. Have you ever seen a dog dreaming? Then that dog is moving and twitching etc. Well this is what I saw Lucy do!

January 17, 2005 (day 37) The picture on the right shows Lucy enjoying a small bit of Gouda cheese. She loves that. See picture below (left picture of today); she really enjoys a good piece of cheese. Later she spent some time with me on the couch (bottom right picture of today). As you can see, she also mutilated another toilet roll.

January 2, 2005 (day 22) This evening Lucy would run a personal long distance record after one day of inactivity! Cool!


January 1, 2005 When I checked Lucy this morning, after I got up, she practically jumped out of the cage on my hand. We spend some time on the couch.



December 30 I gave Lucy the cardboard box in which her favorite sweets where. (See: December 29, or pictures below). I put the sweets in a closeable jar and thought she might be interested in that. As you can see by the picture it kept her awake last night! ;-)

December 28 She is an active littl' creature! She moved all her bedding from 'downstairs' to 'upstairs'. although you can't see the bedding on the picture on the top right, you can see she cleared her downstairs mansion as opposed to the picture on December 22.
	The picture above shows her new sleeping quarters.

December 20 I had a lot of fun watching Lucy today! The bottom two pictures show what I mean. The climbed up, and started to fool around. The bottom picture on the left, is absolutely unclear; I was laughing so much that I forgot to take pictures. When I did I was a bit late. But Lucy showed me her belly while trying to do some gymnastics. Funny to watch, difficult to photograph. I added a hit counter to this page today.
