Extreme HamsterTrackin' New Zealand! - part 1

Natalie sent in this wonderfull,
and informative report;

" Here as I promised you - the photos of Lucy in New Zealand;" - Natalie

Extreme HamsterTrackin' in New Zealand by Natalie.
" The first one is Lucy on the steepest street
in the world - Baldwin Street in Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand.
It's so steep, the very top part of the road has to be cement, not asphalt,
or it would run down the hill on a warm day!

" The second one is Lucy in front of the big trout at the entrance to the town of Gore.
(Gore is the Country and Western music capital of New Zealand as the annual
New Zealand Country and Western Music Awards are held there. Ha!)
It's a small town of about 13,000 people and it's known for
producing moonshine (illicit alcohol) during the prohibition. *hic!*

" The third photo is Lucy at the Mirror Lakes.
The lakes are so clear and still that you can see the alps reflected in the water.

Here's the final part of Natalie's wonderfull,
and informative report;

" This photo is of Lucy at Lake Wanaka.
The township before it is called Wanaka too,
but up until the 1940's it's name was Pembroke.
Now it's the gate way to the Mt Aspiring national park,
and tourism central for all those who want to ski and skydive!
The moutains you see in the background are called the Misty Mountains
and they were in the Lord of the Rings movie.

" Here's Lucy and my best friend and budding movie director,
Rajneel Singh in our local restaurant in Highland Park, Auckland.
It's open 24 hours,
American style - so we often end up there at 1 in the morning for an ice-cream sundae.

" The first one is Lucy at the signpost in Bluff.
It is the oldest European settled town in New Zealand and also the southernmost town.
The signpost is quite famous and countless tourists have their photo taken underneath it.

" This is outside the Royal Albatross Colony on Otago Peninsula near Dunedin.
You pay 30 bucks to climb a steep hill that takes you to a hideout
where you can watch albatross fly in over the ocean and tend to their chicks.
Unfortunately we arrived to filthy weather and didn't see much,
but we got a cool photo of Lucy!
